Brugal’s proprietary double-distillation technique creates a dry and clean spirit with fewer of the heavy alcohols that lend other rums their sweeter profiles.  This blend of rums – aged a minimum of two years up to five years in White American Oak casks – is triple charcoal filtered to achieve exquisite clarity and conjures a velvety mouthfeel as a result of an exceptional aging process.”

Each vatting of this classic multi-vintage cuvee is now carefully assembled from a suite of individual casks by our Head Distiller Adam Hannett.

A giant leap forward for Bunnahabhain 12yo, this edition was launched in summer 2010 with a jump in strength to 46.3% and a declaration of no chill-filtration and no added colouring. The producers deserve enormous credit for giving punters what they want without jacking up the price too much and we earnestly hope that this will be a massive success. Bravo!

Ruby red color, deep and vibrant. Complex nose. It retains extraordinarily well the
black fruit aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and plums. Gradually it opens up
to reveal smoky, toasted wood nuances, with spices and hints of minerals and
tobacco. On the palate is smooth with soft and velvety tannins, great palate weight,
extraordinary balance acidity. Elegant and complex aftertaste, with hints of coffee,
chocolate, tobacco and dark fruit.

"Ruby-Red color, bright and deep. Intense nose, with a great balance between the
fruit (cherries, black plums, ripe blackberries) and the clean nuances coming
from the oak (clove, pepper, vanilla and coconut), enriched by the complex
aromas developed during bottle ageing. Very attractive on the palatepalate, with
ripe fruit and spices, tabacco and toasted oak.Elegant and soft tannins, middle
weight, long and complex finish."

Deep cherry color that suggests a young and vibrant wine.
Nose is rich in aromas and pronounced in intensity. We are struck by the ripe red fruit, later we get the wood nuances with gently sweet notes of vanilla to finish with other sweet spices. On the palate it is perfumed, soft and fresh with a long finish that leaves memories of red fruit, vanilla and cocoa.
